C/N 41H/670742, delivered 1Jun55 111Sqn Bruggen, 4Sqn,    Damaged in wheels up landing 6Mar56, Click to see report., declared Cat 4 but was repaired at HAL, 24Sep57, withdrawn and placed in store, purchased by HAL and converted to T8, 6Jun59 to 764Sqn, Lossiemouth, loaned to Royal Aircraft Establishment, Bedford before returning to 764Sqn as 689, served with 759Sqn, 24Jul70 Fleet Requirements Unit, Hurn as 839, used for contracted tasks and for pilot training, Oct72 FRU, Yeovilton as 948/VL, Dec72 FRADU, 1974 FRADU, as 879/VL, Sep74, last flew Sep82 with 5,850.00 hrs, Withdrawn From Use and placed in store at Shawbury, 1995, put up for disposal, purchased by Richard Everett, moved to Ipswich until Oct97, delivered to North Weald for restoration to flying condition by Ben Bartell's Jet Centre (presumable McArthy Aviation), work began to return the aircraft to the air but progress was slow and the aircraft went into storage and was later sold to Barry Pearson in late-2000, It arrived at Exeter Airport on 19Jan01 and is in open store at Exeter, Engine and various components removed, for sale on E-Bay Jun06 and sold for £3,000, Sunk by new owners into a lake near Doncaster for SCUBA dive training.   (Thanks to David Griffin.)
