- but airfield was red until 11.00 hours.

Squadron started Battle Flight, while the remaining pilots returned from Karup -
Flt. Lt. R.W. Millward and Flt. Lt. J.D. Hawtin flew the remaining two Hunters back.
In reverse the Danish Pilots went back to Denmark. Sqn. Ldr. T.J. McElhaw and Flt. Lt.
G.O. Eades took their promotion exams.

The convoy departed for Sylt - officer in charge was Flt. Lt. P.F. Hunwick. It
departed R.A.F. Jever 0515 hours, and arrived at R.A.F. Sylt 1910 hours. The journey was uneventful
except for two small break downs. Everybody arrived on time.
