                                  SECTION VI

                          LOCAL FLYING RESTRICTIONS.

1.   Outside the Jever Military Terminal Movement Area, pilots are free
to climb or descend in V.M.C. between flight levels 25 to 195, providing
they do not penetrate any airways, prescribed routes, control zones or
other airfield M.T.M.A's. (Those areas are marked in blue on the Wing
and Squadron Navigation Boards). In addition, pilots are warned to keep
out of the usual danger areas (marked in red).

2.   Pilots may penetrate the U.T.A.F.L's 200 - 250 in V.M.C. but in
I.M.C. they can only do so: -

     (i)  by filing a Flight Plan if in transit or on cross country,

     (ii) in a M.T.M.A., when climbing.

3.   Low flying exercises may only take place in the authorised low
areas and link routes unless special clearance is obtained by the
G.L.O. Section. The minimum height for low flying is 250 feet.

4.   No flying over the North Sea or Friesland Islands is to take place
unless under radar control or in transit between Jever and low flying
area No. 6.  Such transit flights are to be cleared with Air Traffic
Control and flown at 2,000 feet above sea level on a track between
Horismersiel - Cuxhaven - Samkt Michaelisdomm.
