CINE QUARTER'S BRIEFING GUIDE.
1. Target Aircraft. (a) Heading and time on course with reference to
wind and sun.
2. Perch. (a) Distance from and height above target.
(b) Speed and R.P.M.
(c) Parallel course,
3. Pattern (a) Turn in.
(b) Key position.
(c) Reversal of bank.
(d) Open and close fire ranges.
(e) Breakaway (positive)
(f) Repositioning.
4. Sighting. (a) Radar on, wristed-back to 200 yds.
(b) After turning in, check 4-5 rads and reverse (spot).
(c) Pick up 2-3 rads lead and wrist-up to 800x.
(d) Tracking.
(3) Open fire after diamonds have started moving i.e. 700x
estimation of angle off, refer to A.O. chart.
(f) Rolling off bank as angle off decreases.
(g) Breakaway wristing up to 200x.
ERRORS.
Perch and Pattern (a) Non parallel heading.
(b) Too far out or too close.
(c) Wrong speed.
(d) Losing too much height on turn in,
Sighting. (a) Reversal wristing up late.
(b) Tracking.
(c) Out of range.
(d) Wrong span set.
(e) Rudder.
