	                                  APPENDIX 'A' TO JEVER WING
	                                  STANDARD OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES.

                          CLEAR WEATHER DESCENT.

1. This procedure is to be used when there is little or no cloud end when
base, or u suitable run in point, is visible from height.

2. It is a maximum rate descent in battle formation thereby providing a
difficult target for an enemy. Any speed may be used but as a guide, if
.9/400 knots is used 27 miles from 40,000 feet and 20 miles from 30,000 feet
are covered using 6500 r.p.m. and dive brake in still air.

3. When the formation is 2 minutes away, the ladder is to inform Local
Control who will inform him which I.P. to come in from. At the I.P. the
leader is to ca11 "I.P. EAST/WEST" and will then be informed of traffic
pattern conditions.

4. The Initial Points are:-

           Runway 29 - Olympia Works.

           Runway 11 - Wittmund Forest.

                             RESTRICTED
