Hunter T8 WV318 when it was the flagship of Delta Jets at Kemble Jul01.   Arrived on 93Sqn 27Mar56.

ff 23May55 N J Carver, C/N 41H-670792. Originally built as a F4 at Kingston-on-Thames, one of 3 F4s with wing leading edge extensions, Delivered 5MU Kemble16Jun55, issued to 33MU Lyneham Jul55, 14Sqn Oldenburg, 93Sqn G Jever 27Mar56, suffered a flying accident - Fg Off Johnston was performing some aerobatics when the gearbox panel came adrift damaging the port wing fillet and the starboard fuselage and was returned to HAL for repairs 1959, converted to T7 and delivered 5MU Kemble 1Jun59 for storage, on loan to 111Sqn Mar60, later that year to CFS Little Rissington, converted to T7A Oct64, to 5Sqn and 74Sqn, to 12Sqn at Honington Feb70 with the Buccaneer force, to 15Sqn and 16Sqn Laarbruch Jun71, 208Sqn Lossiemouth, it was one of the last Hunters in the RAF, put up for disposal and sold to Delta Jets, Kemble in early 1996 flown to Kemble Mar96 and registered as G-FFOX.   Post restoration flight with Delta Jets 2May96, fitted with a T8 arrester hook and repainted in all black 111Sqn scheme.
