Ditching		NOT RECOMMENDED


		Jettison external stores
		Disconnect all hoses
		Lock harness
		Gear up; Speed brakes in
		Canopy open
		Switches off
		Land parallel to swell and touch tail down.
		If the wind is light and little swell then land into wind

Opening canopy from outside
		1.   Electric button
		2.   Emergency canopy release on port side

Fumes in cockpit
		Select Ram Air and turn oxygen to 100%

Engine Starting

		1.   Throttle round the idle stop
		2.   Speed brake switch to neutral
		3.   Emergency fuel switch to ON
		4.   Engine Master Switch ON
		5.   Battery start switch to 'Start' then pause and to 'Battery' position
		6.   Throttle outboard and forward to obtain 500/700psi fuel flow
		7.   Wait for ignition at about 9%
		8.   Slowly advance throttle to maintain JPT of 650 - 700°C
		9.   Allow throttle to come round to inboard when in front of idle stop
		10.  Check idle RPM 34 - 38% and oil pressure
		11.  Remove energiser at 25%

Air Start

		1.   Throttle behind idle stop
		2.   Establish glide at 185 - 190 kts. and descend to 15,000' or below
		3.   Check idle RPM @ 15-20% and adjust airspeed to obtain this if necessary.
		4.   Switch ON emergency fuel if required
		5.   Switch ON Emergency Ignition
		6.   Throttle outboard to obtain 500 - 700 psi fuel flow
		7.   Wait for ignition and then open throttle slowly
		8.   When lit, switch OFF Emergency Ignition.
