Notorious "Wet Start" - Probably 29Dec53.   Lofty tells me that the groundcrew were sure that we had an arrangement with the Russians that if they were going to attack, they would give us a few minutes warning so that we could get the aircraft started!   Vampire FB.5 WF584 F arrived on 93 Sqn on Mon 16 Apr 1951 and left for 266 Sqn on Fri 14 Apr 1954.   (Thanks to Lofty Hope.)
