               (b)  Black smoke from the jet pipe, after stopping
                    indicates burning fuel which will cause damage
                    and should be cleared immediately using the
                    following procedure:-
                         Ground starter engaged
                         Throttle OFF
                         Engine master switch ON.
                    Battery-starter switch momentarily at
                    STARTER then to BATTERY.  Allow the
                    engine to build up to about 6 per cent. r.p.m.
                    Then press the PUSH TO STOP STARTER
                    button and switch off normally.

                        Rudder lock engaged
                        Safety pins in ejection seat handgrips
                        Wheels chocked, parking brake off
