98 Sqn CO Dougie Adamson having just landed from dropping leaflets announcing the disbandment of the Squadron, over 2TAF airfields, including 2TAF HQ.   The Paul Tanfield (Daily Mail or Daily Express?) clipping which recalls the event.   When he landed back, the Jever Station Commander Gp Capt Sid Hughes met him and was furious for what he had done.   Someone had told him that Dougie had dropped leaflets on 2TAF HQ.   Leaflets were loaded in the flaps and the airbrake on the Hunter and fluttered down when these were opened in a low flypast.   Fortunately for Dougie, what the Station Commander did not know was that Dougie, who had been the C-in-C Sir Harry Broadhurst's PSO, had asked and received permission from the C-in-C before dropping the leaflets!
