Duncan Trophy for Gunnery won by 93 Sqn during Sylt APC Jan54 - presented and photographed about February 1954.   266 Sqn were expected to win it that year as 93 Sqn pilots were so young and inexperienced but they snatched it from them.   A similar thing happened on the last award of the trophy in 1960 when 93 Sqn won it from under the noses of 4 Sqn.   93 Sqn was not expected to go to Sylt but at 2 weeks notice with no workup practice, they were sent there to free the Jever airfield for repairs, and unexpectedly won it.   (Click to see that Trophy Award)   (Thanks to Eric Pigdon.)
