Flying this month has been somewhat restricted due to bad weather
especially during the first week, when there was wide spread fog in
the area. The majority of the sorties this month have been low level
cross country and simulated Tac R's.
On the 10th an exercise Full House was held, and ten sorties
were flown. Unfortunately aircraft serviceability restricted
Exercise Guest was held on the 12th and was quite successful
as far as the Swift in its operational role was concerned.
21 Sorties were flown.
National Interest Picture Productions Ltd., of Soho Square,
London, established themselves with the Squadron from the 12th to
the 16th endeavouring to make a War Office Training film,
Concerning air photography.
The A.O.C. Air Vice Marshal H.A.V. Hogan C.B. D.F.C. visited
the Squadron on the 20th to thank us for our services in 83 Group, and
to wish us luck at our new station, Jever.
Work ceased on the 23rd until the 30th whilst celebrations took place.
F/L L.G. Cockerill left the Squadron on the 30th having been
accepted for The Empire Test Pilots course at Farnborough
