JEVER WING.
STANDARD OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES AND COMBAT PRECIS.
Introduction.
1. On any flying unit there is a necessity to standardize as much of the day
to day operating procedures as possible in order to save time in briefing and
to eliminate doubt in all sections as to what is the correct procedure under
most foreseen and unforeseen circumstances which may arise in any phase of the
units flying. When pilots are fully conversant with the procedures laid down
in this book, the term "S.O.P." can be used to cover the standard aspects of
flight and this will allow more time to concentrate on the operational plan
and briefing. The S.O.Ps. are to be treated as mandatory as far as possible.
