Farewell to the outgoing Air Officer Commanding No 2 Group Air-Vice Marshal Hector McGregor CB, DSO who handed over command on 9Nov53.   Cess Crook is holding the umbrella.   During his tenure he held the rank of Air Commodore but was promoted to Acting Air Vice Marshal on 1 Sep53.   From his time onwards the post held the rank of Air Vice Marshal.   (Thanks to Mike Wraight.)
