   OPERATIONAL CONTROLS

   18. Guns, R.P. and bombs

   (i) The gun firing mechanism is electrically operated. The
gun firing pushbutton (42) on the control column spade grip
is fitted with a spring-loaded safety flap. When the flap

FIRE, the gun firing pushbutton will fire the guns and
operate the cine-camera simultaneously, providing the
        cine-camera master switch is ON.
(ii) The gyro gun-sight master switch (67) is on the electrical
panel, the combined dimmer and selector switch (25) is
on the top right-hand side of the instrument panel, and
the ranging control (10) is incorporated in the throttle
grip. A camera recorder can be fitted on the Gyro gun-

   (iii)There is a cine-camera footage indicator stowage (34)
on the lower right-hand side of the instrument panel.

electrical panel. The firing pushbutton (12) is mounted
on the throttle control lever and can also be used for the
release of bombs by operating the coupled master-selector
switch (74) which is on the electrical panel marked R.P.
        -BOMBS.
   (v) The bomb selector (70), (71) and fusing switches (72), (73)
are on the rear end of the electrical panel.

the wing drop tank jettison lever. There is no means of
        jettisoning the R.P.
