St Annentor, popular drinking haunt in Jever Town in 1956.   Not there today but you can see in today's photograph that the house has been converted with a verandah and the door blocked up.
[Click to see.]   Ron Gray adds:"Looking at the photo of St Annentor and the comparison with present day which was taken in Blaue Strasse, reminds me of Station Standing Orders (SSOs) which forbid the entrance to I think 2 Blaue Strasse, (or was it 12?).   Whatever - it was a knocking shop I believe.   Being a shy young innocent I never did get round to testing the water."
(Thanks to Colin Pratt and Ron Gray.)
