Hughes, CBE, AFC - 29Jun57.   Don Shelley won the 5,000 mtrs and Tony Critchley came 5th, Cpl McLean came 4th in Throwing the Hammer and Lt Parkinson came 7th, Joe Akerele came 3rd in the Pole Vault and Llyod Maloney came 4th, Geoff Hann won the 400 mtrs Hurdles and Jim Billington came 4th, Lloyd Maloney came 2nd in the 100 mtrs and Ken Bibby came 3rd, Brian Edmunds won the Putting the Weight and Ken Saw came 4th, Don Shelley came 2nd in the 3,000 mtrs Steeplechase and Tony Critchley came 4th.
