Text:   Members of No. 21 MU at GAF Jever in front of the 350th completed in-depth inspection of a Phantom.   MU keep the Phantom fleet in the air.   F-4F hand-over after completion of the 350th. in-depth inspection at GAF Jever.   A manufacturers in-depth inspection on a F-4F II is carried out every 72 months or 1,200 flying hours and requires more than 1,7000 man hours (around 11 months).   No. 21 MU has been based on the station for 42 years and the first Phantom in-depth inspection was carried out in 1977.   This vital work on the now over 30year old Phantoms is only carried out by the MU at Jever.   Thanks to Maurice Parker.)
