Report on a Visit to German Air Force Jever by Mick Ryan, Chris Stone, Gunter Kipp and Maurice Parker on Tuesday/Wednesday 16/17th August 2005                                              149. This painting was specially commissioned for the Officers' Mess lounge and it is still there.   It is titled                       "Brandenburg Fleet Landing".   There were several stories about the painting and its execution.   Apparently it was not                       tall enough when it arrived and they had to add a top and bottom strip.   Also the flags were flying upwind.   The flag on                       the top was supposed to have been corrected but the stern flag could not be altered and had to be left.                                                                                                            (Thanks to Mick Ryan).
