1px-trans.gif, 43 bytes105. Composite photograph of the Station Church just by the main gate.   This is Building 8 and although the records
1px-trans.gif, 43 bytesclaim it was built in 1936 the Camp Commandant OTL Joachim Linke tells me it was probably built by the British in 1px-trans.gif, 43 bytes1953/54.   Lofty Hope tells me that there used to be a building behind the Chapel and connected to it and to what is
1px-trans.gif, 43 bytesnow Building 8a.   He believes it was an Annex for incoming families and it was burnt down which is why 8a is
1px-trans.gif, 43 bytesseparated by some distance.   He says they were called out early one morning to help and can remember
1px-trans.gif, 43 bytescarrying out books, etc. from the Church and other people bringing out items of furniture.
