1. German Navy Museum Contains Destroyer "Molders" museum ship;

2. Aquarium with native animals from the North Sea;

5. Town Hall This Town Hall was built between 1928 and 1929 in North German brick-expressionist style drawn up by the famous Hamburg architekt Fritz Höger.   The 49-meter-tower high contains a water tank with a capacity of 920 cubic meters.   The building has a surface area of 3 500 square meters and houses 150 offices, conference rooms and reception halls.   Resting on 1 000 wooden piles, this administration center with its vigorously contoured exterior was designed in 1927.   At its inauguration on 11th October 1929, the total costs had reached 18 million Marks.   Höger donated two crouching lions, sculptured in brick, as decorations for the main entrance.

6. Oceanis Oceanis is a museum with high-tech equipment.   The motto of the museum is "100m below sea-level" and they could make the visitor believe it.   It's a quite expensive museum, but it's worth to visit it; and if you are in then try everything.   Bontekai 63. Wilhelmshaven

     Wilhelmshaven, situated on the west side of Jade Bay, a 5km/3mi wide inlet on the North Sea Coast,was until 1945 primarily a naval port.   After the war the harbour was used not only for military purposes, but for economy and tourism as well.   Today, Wilhelmshaven is Germany's main naval base at the North Sea again.   It is also the third largest German port (after Hamburg and the combined ports of Bremen and Bremerhaven) with mainly oil products being loaded and unloaded.   Besides the military, chemical industries and a refinery are the main employers of Wilhelmshaven which has one of the highest unemployment rates in the western part of Germany.   The oil terminal and the refinery are connected with other German industrial centres by pipelines.   Wilhelmshaven also provides an Applied Sciences University (Fachhochschule) for engineering and business sciences.

     Economical hopes rest in three major development projects: 1. the JadeWeserPort project for a deep water container port to be constructed 2005 - 2010, capable to even berth the largest container vessels presently under construction.   2. The further development of the chemical industry.   3. The proposed coastal highway (Küstenautobahn) connecting north-western German industrial centres at the Elbe, Weser, and Ems rivers.   It has a Marine Biological Research Station belonging to the Senckent Society and an Ornithological Institute.
