Looks like a "Woodcutters' Ball"!   Sabre F.4 XB822.   Engine failed during test flight from Jever. Fg. Off. J.S.C. Davis attempted emergency landing but while he was trying to sort out why the undercarriage would not lower he undershot the runway and crashed.  John survived - Sat 1Oct55.   (Thanks to Ron Gray.)
