Hunter F.6 XG298 X arrived on 4sqn Wed 13 Mar 1957 and left on Mon 2 Jan 1961.   1st Flt 29Nov56 by Duncan Simpson.   Delivered 3Jan57 to 5MU Kemble, 4sqn, 13Mar57, to 5MU.   To HSA, 2Jan61.   Conv. to FGA9, which involved installing a full tropical kit, gun blast deflectors, stronger inboard pylons, Explosive Release Units on the outboard pylons, braking parachute and fitting of an Avon 207 engine.   Delivered. 25Oct61 to 43Sqn. Hunter F.6 XG268 E arrived on 4sqn Thu 28Feb57 and left on Thu 12Jan61.   1st Flt 9Nov56 by David Lockspeiser.   Delivered 3Dec56, to 5MU Kemble, 4sqn, 28Feb57, to 5MU 21Jan61.   Transferred to Jordanian Air Force (806), Jun62 to Oct62.

Hunter F.6 XG267 F arrived on 4sqn Thu 28 Feb 1957 and left on Thu 12Jan61.   1st Flt on 14Nov56 flown by Duncan Simpson.   It was delivered on 3Dec56 to 5MU at Kemble.   It arrived on 4 sqn on Thu 28Nov57 and returned to 5MU on Thu 12Jan61.   Transferred to Jordanian Air Force (801) in Jun62 to Oct62.

Hunter F.6 XG269 W arrived on 4sqn Thu 28 Feb 1957 and left on Sun 12Feb61.   1st Flt on 14Nov56 flown by David Lockspeiser.   Delivered 4Dec56, 5MU Kemble,then to 4sqn. (W), 28Feb57, back to 5MU, 12Feb61.   Transferred to Jordanian Air Force (807), Jun62 to Oct62.

Hunter F.6 XJ640 T arrived on 4sqn Thu 28 Feb 1957 and left on Sun 12Feb61.   1st flt 3Jan57 by Duncan Simpson.   Delivered. 21Jan57, to 33MU, to 4sqn. Hunter F.6 XG297 Y arrived on 4sqn Fri 15 Mar 1957 and left on Tue 3 Jan 1961   1st flt Duncan Simpson 3Dec56; after 4sqn to Hawker Siddeley Aviation converted to FGA9 installing a full tropical kit, gun blast deflectors, stronger inboard pylons, Explosive Release Units on the outboard pylons, braking parachute and fitting an Avon 207 engine.   Delivered to 20 Sqn 19Sep61 still as Y, then 28 Sqn as B at Kai Tak 1962.   Purchased by HSA 8Mar76 as G9-452, 3,099 hrs awaiting disposal Jul79.   Nose section owned by Bill Fern and displayed at the South Yorkshire Aviation Museum, Firbeck. Lakeside and Leisure Complex, Aeroventure, Doncaster.   Displayed at cockpitfest. Newark.

Hunter F.6 XE548 H arrived on 4sqn Wed 12 Feb 1958 and left on Thu 12 Jan 1961.   1st Flt on 6Feb56 by Duncan Simpson. Cen. Fuse. C/N 41H-679923, 23Feb56 5MU Kemble, to 4sqn H 12Feb58, to 5MU 12Jan61, converted to Rhodesian FR9 No 120.

Hunter F.6 XJ639 C arrived on 4sqn Fri 22 Mar 1957 and left on Wed 4 Jan 1961.   1st Flt 3Jan57 by David Lockspeiser was delivered to 33MU on 11Mar57.   To 4sqn on 22Mar57 and left for 2sqn on 4Jan61 as C.   Then to 19MU St Athan on 21Mar61 and to 229OCU in Dec64.   To 1TWU 234Sqn as 31 in 75.   GIA Cranwell as 8687M in Jun95 then stored dismantled at Ipswich.   In 98 to Ben Bartell's Jet Centre (previously McCarthy Aviation) North Weald, Hangar 7, Epping, Essex.   Delivered by road from Ipswich in Feb01 to Exeter for eventual restoration by Classic Jets.   Barry Pearson's Hunter Flying Club, Exeter.   Sold on e-bay 9May06 for £4667.00 to a private buyer.(Click to see).
